OLD BILOXI LIGHTHOUSE
Constructed in 1848, this lighthouse is a local landmark! This round lighthouse has survived many local hurricanes and was one of the first cast iron lighthouses in the south.
This restaurant was a favorite among locals and tourists and was owned and operated by several generations of the Baricev family. It opened in 1948 and became famous for its fresh seafood dishes.
HISTORIC DOWNTOWN BILOXI
From early 1900s through 1969 the Howard Avenue downtown area in Biloxi was thriving and filled with retailers, restaurants, banks, hardware stores, movie theaters, and anything that locals would need.
BUENA VISTA HOTEL
In operation from 1924-1991, this U-shape hotel faced the Mississippi Gulf and was enjoyed by many locals and tourists with honeymoons, family vacations, proms, and other popular events.
Built in 1856, this red clay brick vacation home was built for the Toledano family of New Orleans. In recent years the city of Biloxi restored the house and used it for 30 years as a museum and community center. Many local families enjoyed wedding receptions and other events at this historic landmark.
BROADWATER BEACH RESORT
Opened in 1938 as Broadwater Beach Hotel, in its heyday it hosted movie stars, leading politicians, and top business figures as well as people on vacation. It became the Gulf Coast's flagship resort and its colorfully lit front sign was iconic. In the 1990's it became the President Casino Broadwater Resort. It remained opened until 2005.
